My first contact with HORNETDRIVE was through HKN (my Zimbra provider). I was looking for a safe (and safe means not a standard cloud service like Dropbox) internet based file sharing system for a large client project with international partners.
HKN suggested HORNETDRIVE with encrypted file transfer, version control and safe storage on a German server (good old Germany is still the best place for secure data storage).
A month into using HORNETDRIVE my own laptop hard drive crashed without any means to recover my data. I lost 2 weeks of data BUT(!) all my project data was safely stored on HORNETDRIVE.
Since then I am using HORNETDRIVE as an on-line backup and I have to say I love it! No detectable delay and all my files are saved right away. I am ready for my next disaster! Within the project we have several people working on the same files, version control helps a lot in tracking changes.
Leiv beschreibt, dass er auf der Suche nach einer sicheren Lösung für den Filetransfer von großen Daten mit seinen internationalen Partnern war.
